Serbian President Vučić showcases new weapons at Batanjica military display

President Aleksandar Vučić attended a large‑scale weapons exhibition on the Pasuljanske livade range near Batajnica, where more than 130 modernised systems and over 1,000 armed‑force personnel were displayed. The programme featured artillery and rocket units, the MiG‑29 fighter‑bomber, domestically upgraded Orao aircraft, H‑145 and Mi‑35 helicopters, and a variety of drones, including the Chinese CH‑95. Precision‑guided bombs, thermobaric rockets and the Chinese‑made CM‑400 missile were also demonstrated.

Vučić spoke with pilots and technicians, asking whether they were satisfied with the equipment. He praised the CM‑400, calling it “the best,” and said Serbia would acquire more of the rockets. He also hinted at future acquisitions, noting that Rafale jets and other undisclosed systems are expected. Attendees included defence minister Bratislav Gašić, interior minister Ivica Dačić and other senior officials. Vučić stressed Serbia’s focus on self‑defence and a diversified arsenal sourced from China, Russia, the United States, France and domestic producers.
