Serbian President Vučić unveils modern weapons and air‑defence systems

At the Batajnica military airfield, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, joined by Milorad Dodik, president of Republika Srpska, attended a showcase of the Serbian Armed Forces' latest combat aircraft, missiles and air‑defence equipment.

The demonstration featured a MiG‑29 fighter, a Mi‑35 attack helicopter, Chinese‑made CM‑400 rockets, precision‑guided bombs for howitzers, a CH‑95 combat drone and briefings on upcoming Rafale jet acquisitions and the HQ‑18 air‑defence system.

Vučić announced that compulsory military service will start in March, describing it as beneficial for both men and women and stressing that Serbia is now “stronger and ready to defend itself”. He warned that any aggression would incur “dramatically large” losses for the attacker.
