Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut details subsidies, alimention fund and major construction projects

Prime Minister Đuro Macut held a series of meetings with Serbian ministers responsible for family and demography, human and minority rights, public investments, village affairs and defence. The ministers reported that the state‑guaranteed alimention fund now supports 889 children, with total disbursements of 54,209,260 dinars, including payments to 77 fathers and continued support for 44 adults who remain in school. The family ministry highlighted the first‑home subsidy programme for families with newborns, which has enabled about 1,700 mothers to raise their children in their own homes; the government has allocated roughly €28 million to the scheme and approved 721 decisions worth a total of 1,395,455,651 dinars (about €12 million) for the period May 2025‑July 2026, with 173 new subsidies granted in the last three months.

In a separate session on macro‑economic policy, Macut stressed measures aimed at preserving macro‑economic stability, boosting industrial production, attracting investment and improving the agricultural sector, including actions against African swine fever. He was briefed on 67 construction sites across Serbia, whose combined value reaches 67 billion dinars, and noted that citizens frequently raise water‑supply concerns during site inspections, prompting focused attention on that issue.
