Serbian prosecutors indict four over schoolyard attack in Novi Sad

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad filed an indictment against four suspects for a violent assault on a student at the Mihajlo Pupin Technical School on 25 February. L. S. and A. P. are charged with attempted homicide after they struck the victim, S. M., repeatedly with a metal rod and a hammer, causing severe bodily injuries. P. J. and Lj. A. face charges of violent behavior for participating in the attack. The same indictment also accuses L. S. of illegal possession of narcotics, based on drugs found in his apartment. Prosecutors have requested that the detention of L. S. and A. P. be extended, citing a risk that they could commit further offenses.
