Serbian Railways issues tender to demolish three station buildings

Infrastructure of Serbian Railways (IŽS) has issued a tender for the demolition of three railway station buildings located in Crepaja, Kuzmin, and Banja Koviljača. The project involves the creation of demolition plans, waste management, dismantling specific elements, removing foundations, and leveling the terrain.

According to the tender documentation, no new buildings are planned for these sites following the demolition; instead, the areas will be cleared and brought to a safe, orderly state. The stations vary in size, with Banja Koviljača being the largest at 650 square meters, followed by Kuzmin at 110 square meters and Crepaja at 105 square meters.

While the physical buildings are slated for removal due to being dilapidated or non-functional, the tender does not explicitly state that rail services or stops will be discontinued. Stations in Banja Koviljača and Crepaja currently remain in use for rail traffic. It remains unclear from the current documentation whether passenger infrastructure, such as platforms or shelters, will remain at these locations.
