Serbian religious heritage: Drača Monastery and St. Nicholas Church

The Drača Monastery, located near Kragujevac in Serbia, holds significant historical and spiritual importance. Tradition suggests a medieval temple existed on the site in the late 14th century. The current church was rebuilt in 1734 and serves as a women's monastery since 1958. The complex features architecture reflecting late Morava styles and has historical ties to various figures, including Koča Anđelković.

In Novi Pazar, the Church of Saint Nicholas Mirlikijsky stands as a notable example of 19th-century Serbian sacred architecture. Built starting in 1871 during Ottoman rule, the monumental basilica features a three-aisled interior and a prominent iconostasis crafted by the Đinoski family. While the walls lack frescoes, the preserved gilded wooden iconostasis remains a central artistic highlight of the structure.
