Serbian Singer Tomislav Čolović Died After Falling in Kraljevo Bar in 2008

Tomislav Čolović, the Serbian vocalist best known for the 1990s hit “Mali mrav,” died on 9 February 2008 in his hometown of Kraljevo. Around two a.m., after leaving a nearby tavern, he entered a local bar, ordered a beer and a plate of prosciutto, drank a gulp, and collapsed at his table. Bar owner Čeda (also referred to as Čedom) said the singer’s heart gave out and that police and medical staff were called.

Čolović was a regular guest at the establishment, often visiting alone late at night, enjoying mezze, cheese, and beer. Friends recalled him as a good person and musician. After his death, a photograph of him was displayed above the table where he fell, and his sons have continued his musical legacy, playing drums and participating in orchestras.

The incident remains a remembered part of Kraljevo’s local cultural history.
