Serbian singers Cakana and Dara Bubamara trade insults on social media

Serbian pop singers Dragica Radosavljević Cakana and Dara Bubamara have reignited a public feud on social media. Cakana posted a harsh comment calling Bubamara “glupava” and criticizing her vocal style, writing, “Jao, glupava Dara kao mangup. Smeta joj naglasak… Dara je stvarno sramota za bilo šta, a kamoli za muziku.”

Bubamara responded in kind, labeling Cakana an “80‑year‑old baba” and dismissing her remarks as “marketing for old days.” The exchange has drawn a flood of reactions from fans of both singers, with opinions split over whether the criticism was justified. The dispute follows earlier tensions between the two, including previous remarks by Cakana comparing Bubamara to other Serbian pop figures.

Both artists have declined further comment to the press, and it remains unclear whether the confrontation will extend beyond online platforms.
