Jajce restaurant prices surprise Croatian tourist

A tourist from Split, Croatia, expressed surprise at the affordable dining costs during a family trip to Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After visiting local waterfalls and historical sites, the group had a substantial lunch at a restaurant near Plivska Lakes.

The bill for three people totaled 105.50 KM (approximately 53.94 EUR), which averages to about 18 EUR per person. The meal included two portions of grilled trout, veal under the bell (teletina ispod sača), various salads, and several alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The visitor noted that such a meal would likely cost significantly more in Dalmatia, estimating that 18 EUR in Split might only cover a light snack or pizza without drinks, whereas in Jajce, the portions were large and the prices much lower.
