Serbian singers Šerifović: Marija vacationing in Croatia, Verica on Serbian and Austrian pensions

Serbian pop star Marija Šerifović shared Instagram footage of her summer holiday aboard a luxury catamaran on the Croatian island of Šolta, describing the trip as "The perfect vacation starts now." The post showed clear waters, anchored yachts and the singer sunbathing on deck.

Her mother, veteran folk vocalist Verica Šerifović, who retired after 39 years of work, disclosed that she now receives a Serbian pension of about 35,000 dinars and an Austrian pension of roughly 250 euros, receiving both payments twice a year. Verica has been coping with health issues, including a recent breast cancer operation, while her daughter Marija accompanied her to the United States for treatment.

Both family members are in the public eye for their personal milestones, drawing attention from fans across Serbia, Austria and the broader Balkan region.
