Jelena Karleuša talks new hit, upcoming songs and ex‑husband's message on Amidži Show
Pop star Jelena Karleuša appeared on the Amidži Show where she promoted her newly released ballad “Sada je sve okej”. She said the song quickly became a regional hit and topped charts, adding that it “is already playing in clubs” and will be followed by two fast‑tempo tracks.
During the interview Karleuša revealed a text she received from her ex‑husband, former footballer Duško Tošić, who wrote, “Da crknem, je l’?” (“Should I die?”). She replied simply “Da”. She also explained that the lyric “Samo da crkneš, do toga mi je stalo” references that message.
Karleuša discussed personal topics, stating that women “cheat only when they are unloved” and describing her own financial independence, noting she has no “rich suitor” and pays for her career herself. She expressed a wish for a partner who would “proudly sit beside me, hold my hand and accept my children”.
She mentioned support from fellow artists, TikTok success of the new song, and hinted at future projects including a new album and participation in the talent show “Pinkove Zvezde”.
