Aleksandra Mladenović wins Zlatna jabuka award and recalls past relationship with Uroš Živković

Serbian folk singer Aleksandra Mladenović was honored with the "Zlatna jabuka" award for Singer of the Year at a ceremony in Lajkovac. She described the recognition as "wonderful" and said it motivates her to keep improving after more than a decade on the stage.

During her acceptance speech, Mladenović spoke about her former partner, fellow singer Uroš Živković, who received the Singer of the Year award on the same evening. She recalled that they were together when Živković was still a minor, noting that "I could have ended up in prison" because of the age difference, but emphasized that there was no "scheme" and that they were just "kids" at the time. She added that they remain on good terms today and continue to stay in contact.

Mladenović also mentioned that, apart from changing her hair colour, she has remained the same person she was when she first started her career, highlighting her long‑standing dedication to folk music.
