Serbian Sprinter Dušan Rajović Wins Stage 2 of Tour of Slovenia

Dušan Rajović of the Solution Tech Nippo Rali team clinched the stage 2 sprint of the Tour of Slovenia, beating WorldTour favourite Laurence Pithie of Red Bull‑Bora‑Hansgrohe. The 181.8‑km route from Radelj ob Dravi to Ormož saw Rajović surge ahead in the final sprint to claim his 24th career victory and sixth win of the season. He expressed particular joy, noting the race is one of his favorites and the win felt “more than beating the competitors”.

Laurence Pithie, who had won stage 1 and wore the green leader’s jersey, finished second, while Nikiforos Arvanitou (Team United Shipping) took third. The stage was briefly halted near the Jeruzalem climb after a crash left several riders injured and required medical vehicles, but the race resumed after about a half‑hour pause.
