Serbian tennis players exit US Open in opening round

Serbian tennis players Miomir Kecmanović and Hamad Medjedović have been eliminated in the opening round of the US Open.

Miomir Kecmanović lost to Canada's Denis Shapovalov in four sets with a score of 6:4, 4:6, 6:4, 6:1. Despite leveling the match in the second set, Kecmanović struggled in the final set, losing seven consecutive games to conclude the match in just 27 minutes.

Hamad Medjedović was also eliminated after a straight-sets defeat to Poland's Kamil Majchrzak. Majchrzak won the match 6:3, 6:3, 6:3, securing his place in the second round.
