Dubrovnik stages Goldoni's 'Ribarske svađe' in August park performances
The classic Goldoni comedy 'Ribarske svađe' returns to Dubrovnik for a series of open‑air performances from 1 to 5 August. Directed by Krešimir Dolenčić, the production is a co‑operation between the Dubrovnik Summer Games, the Marina Držić Theatre and the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. The play is adapted and translated into a Dubrovnik dialect by Morana Čale, with set design by Stefano Katunar, costumes by Željka Franulović and music by Stanko Juzbašić. A full cast of local actors presents the comedy at 21:30 in the park of the Art School, supported by the Croatian Lottery. The event continues the tradition of bringing Carlo Goldoni’s works to contemporary audiences in the historic setting of Dubrovnik.
