Serbia's foreign ministry claims Montenegro's statement confirms hybrid activity

Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the recent statement issued by Montenegro's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms the hybrid nature of actions by certain groups in Montenegro directed at Serbia's political life. The Serbian ministry described the Montenegrin statement as “unfounded and inappropriate” accusations that Montenegro is conducting a hybrid war against Serbia or threatening its interests, and said it underscores ongoing hostile influences.

Montenegro's MFA rejected the allegations as baseless. Serbia reiterated its respect for Montenegro's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while accusing Montenegro of failing to show the same respect for Serbia's sovereignty. The Serbian ministry called for issues to be resolved through institutional dialogue and diplomatic channels, emphasizing cooperation on economic ties, infrastructure, freedom of movement and mutual trust between the neighboring states.
