Serbia's Tatjana Macura promotes women's empowerment initiatives

Tatjana Macura, the Serbian Minister without Portfolio responsible for gender equality and the prevention of violence against women, visited Zlakusa to highlight initiatives supporting women in vulnerable groups.

During the visit, Macura met with members of the Ružica Association from Arilje and the Balans Foundation from Belotić. These organizations are collaborating on a project supported by the Minister’s Cabinet to provide comprehensive assistance to women. The initiative integrates legal, psychological, and social support with economic empowerment and artistic expression.

The project aims to create a safer and more encouraging environment through psychosocial workshops and activities focused on social protection and economic independence. Macura emphasized that the cooperation between these two associations serves as a model of female solidarity and resource sharing to benefit entire local communities.
