SERCOTEC and Iquique Municipality partner to support local entrepreneurs

SERCOTEC Tarapacá and the Municipality of Iquique have established a collaborative agenda to support the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. The initiative, led by SERCOTEC regional director Jhon Burg Sepúlveda and Iquique Mayor Mauricio Soria Macchiavello, is currently in an initial diagnostic phase.

This first stage aims to identify the specific needs, gaps, and opportunities facing entrepreneurs within the commune. The data collected will be used to evaluate financing alternatives and propose specific initiatives to the Tarapacá Regional Government. The effort involves close coordination with the municipality’s Directorate of Tourism and Development to ensure support tools are tailored to local realities.

The partnership is part of a broader strategy by SERCOTEC to work with various municipalities in the Tarapacá region, following a similar recent meeting with the mayor of Pica. The goal is to facilitate access to instruments that promote employment and commercial activity throughout the current and upcoming year.
