Seregno community stages theater events after July shooting

A series of performances organized by director Enrico Maria Falconi ran at the Lega Navale and Baia dell’Orso in Italy, featuring comedies, a musical tribute to 1960s Italian hits and a stage reinterpretation of the Odyssey. The program, which began on 29 July, includes shows such as “Casalinghi disperati”, “Con le pinne fucile ed occhiali” and “Nostos, il ritorno”.

In the nearby town of Seregno, a public theater presentation of “La ballata del vecchio marinaio” was held only metres from the site of a July 23 shooting that left a 44‑year‑old man seriously wounded. Local officials, including Mayor Alberto Rossi and Monsignor Bruno Molinari, attended and stressed the community’s resilience, describing the cultural event as a sign of unity after the violent incident.
