Serena Williams teams with Karolina Muchova for Berlin Open doubles

Serena Williams, returning to professional tennis after nearly four years, will partner Czech No. 10 Karolina Muchova in the doubles draw of the Berlin Open. The pairing follows Williams' comeback at the Queen's Club event, where she and Canadian Victoria Mboko won their opening match before Mboko suffered a left‑knee medial collateral ligament injury that forced her out of the tournament.

In Berlin, the Williams‑Muchova team will open against Mexican Giuliana Olmos and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe. Muchova said she was excited to play with the 23‑time Grand Slam champion, noting, “It doesn’t happen every day that an athlete of this importance asks me to play doubles with her.
