Serena Williams evacuated from Berlin hotel after fire alarm

A fire alarm sounded in a Berlin hotel early on the morning of the Berlin Tennis Open, forcing guests to evacuate between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Among those displaced were tennis legend Serena Williams, her daughters Olympia and Adira, and other players such as Coco Gauff.

The alarm required everyone to leave their rooms and wait outside for about 20‑30 minutes while authorities investigated. The incident caused no injuries and did not develop into a larger emergency, but it disrupted the players' rest ahead of the upcoming Wimbledon tournament.
