Serena Williams returns to pro tennis, doubles at Queen's Club and Berlin

Serena Williams, the 44‑year‑old former world No. 1, is resuming her professional tennis career after a hiatus since the 2022 US Open. She will make her comeback on the grass circuit by playing doubles at the Queen’s Club Championships in London alongside 16‑year‑old Canadian Victoria Mboko. The pairing follows a declined offer from Czech doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova, who cited the need for rest.

Williams has also confirmed participation in the upcoming Berlin tournament in Germany, where she will compete in the doubles draw starting 13 June. Details of her partner for the Berlin event have not yet been released. Both the Queen’s Club and Berlin tournaments serve as preparatory events ahead of Wimbledon, though Williams has not announced whether she will contest Wimbledon or future Grand Slam events.
