Sergej Milinković-Savić faces backlash over Saudi Arabia earnings

Serbian footballer Sergej Milinković-Savić is facing significant backlash from fans following revelations regarding his massive earnings in Saudi Arabia. Since joining Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023, the player has reportedly earned a net annual salary of 25 million euros, which translates to approximately 481,000 euros per week.

With two years remaining on his contract, he is projected to earn an additional 50 million euros, potentially bringing his total earnings in the region to 125 million euros. This financial arrangement has sparked intense debate among Serbian supporters, many of whom have expressed frustration over his move to the Middle East, viewing it as a departure from top-tier competitive football.
