Sergey Brin: Google co-founder and Alphabet pioneer

Sergey Brin is an American computer scientist and businessman best known for co-founding Google alongside Larry Page. After meeting at Stanford University, the pair developed the PageRank algorithm, which became the foundation for the world’s most widely used search engine.

Brin played a central role in Google’s evolution, serving as president of technology and later as president of Alphabet Inc. following the company’s corporate restructuring in 2015. He and Page stepped down from their respective leadership roles at Alphabet in 2019 but remain on the company’s board of directors.

Beyond his work in search engines, Brin has been involved in diverse ventures including artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, and Google Glass. He also supports neurological disease research through his non-profit, Catalyst4, Inc.
