Sergio de Larrea impresses in NBA preseason with Dallas Mavericks

Spanish rookie Sergio de Larrea is making a strong case for a spot in the Dallas Mavericks' rotation following his preseason performances. During a recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans, De Larrea played 30 minutes off the bench, recording 10 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

Teammates have praised his tactical intelligence and court vision. Tobi Lawal noted that De Larrea makes his teammates better by anticipating plays and positioning them correctly. Alongside fellow Spaniard Baba Miller, De Larrea is demonstrating that he is prepared to take on responsibilities rather than simply filling a roster spot.

The Mavericks are scheduled to begin their 2024-25 regular season on October 22 against the Houston Rockets.
