Sergio Mattarella arrives in Alto Adige for summer vacation

Italian President Sergio Mattarella has arrived in Alto Adige to begin a three-week summer vacation in Siusi. Accompanied by his daughter Laura, the President traveled from Rome via Bolzano airport and was met by government commissioner Maddalena Travaglini and the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher.

Mattarella will stay at Villa Ausserer, an Army logistical and training facility, continuing a tradition of spending his summer break in the Dolomites. The stay is expected to be private, though the local mayor of Castelrotto, Cristina Pallanch, expressed that the President's presence is an honor for the community.

On September 5, Mattarella is scheduled to be in Merano and Trento for celebrations regarding Autonomy Day.
