Sergio Moro names Pricilla Santana as Paraná Finance Secretary

Paraná Governor-elect Sergio Moro has announced economist Pricilla Maria Santana as the first member of his future administration. Santana, who has served as the Finance Secretary for Rio Grande do Sul since January 2023, is slated to take over the same role in Paraná in January 2027.

Santana brings experience from the Brazilian federal government, including roles at the National Treasury and the Ministry of Finance. She has also been involved in tax reform discussions and serves on the management committee for the Goods and Services Tax (IBS). Moro noted that her selection was supported by recommendations from former Economy Minister Paulo Guedes and economist Daniella Marques.

As part of his administration, Moro intends to implement an administrative reform to reduce the size of the state executive branch, which currently consists of 24 secretariats. The transition process between the current administration of Ratinho Junior and Moro's incoming government is currently underway in Curitiba.
