Sergio Nuvoli unveils culture revitalisation plan for Assemini

Sergio Nuvoli, newly appointed assessor for Culture of the Comune di Assemini, presented his action plan to the municipal council on 29 July 2026. The programme seeks to make cultural initiatives more accessible and participatory by strengthening collaboration with local associations and highlighting under‑known assets of the town.

Key priorities include promoting the section of the Santa Gilla lagoon with workshops that reproduce sea‑urchins, drawing attention to the municipal island in the Gutturu Mannu park, and showcasing street‑art works by artists such as Pils, Manu Invisible and Rosaria Straffalaci. Additional actions target the historic old town hall and other local heritage sites. Nuvoli also stressed themes of inclusion and rights, pledging support for vulnerable groups even though they fall outside his formal delegation.

The plan stresses a pragmatic, collaborative approach, aiming to systematise existing cultural projects, involve community members, and reinforce dialogue between the governing majority and opposition.
