Sergio Padt leaves Ludogorets as a free agent

Dutch goalkeeper Sergio Padt has become a free agent following the mutual termination of his contract with Bulgarian club Ludogorets. The 36-year-old, who has won four league titles in Bulgaria, stated that the decision was reached through good consultation after five years and several months with the club.

Padt noted that while the sudden change is unexpected and has been difficult for his family, he preferred an amicable agreement over a more difficult departure. Despite the timing being challenging as many clubs have already finalized their squads, the former AA Gent and FC Groningen player expressed that he does not feel finished with his career and is open to opportunities in various countries.
