Sergio Perez criticizes Cadillac Racing development stagnation

Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez has expressed disappointment regarding the recent lack of development at Cadillac Racing. Speaking on the ‘Beyond the Grid’ podcast, Perez noted that while the team initially made significant progress to distance itself from Aston Martin, recent performance has stagnated.

We zijn niet beter geworden.” He emphasized that as a new team, continuous improvement is expected, and the current plateau necessitates a review of their internal processes.

The team's struggles have been reflected in race results, with Perez and teammate Valtteri Bottas recording a combined nine retirements this season. Perez suggested that finding even a half-second to one second of lap time would significantly alter the team's competitive standing, allowing them to challenge teams like Williams, Haas, and Aston Martin.
