Sergio Perez regains confidence at Cadillac, eyes stronger Formula 1 performance

Mexican driver Sergio Perez says he has fully recovered the confidence lost during his final six months at Red Bull after joining the Cadillac Formula 1 team. He praised his race‑pace and qualifying, noting that he felt "one with the car and the team" and that his performance this season has been solid.

Perez came close to scoring Cadillac’s first F1 point at the Monaco Grand Prix, but a time penalty dropped him from tenth place. He highlighted the team’s critical development stage, saying the next two to three months are crucial for progress and future decisions.

The driver’s renewed confidence follows a difficult 2024 season with five retirements and a finish eighth in the drivers’ standings, 285 points behind teammate Max Verstappen.
