Sergio Pininfarina centenary to be honored at Torino Auto Show 2026

The Pininfarina company is organizing special events to honor the centenary of the birth of Sergio Pininfarina, a central figure in Italian automotive design. The celebrations will take place during the Torino Auto Show 2026, scheduled from September 11 to 13, at the Corte d’Onore of Palazzo Reale.

Two primary initiatives will mark the occasion. The first, ‘Le Ferrari di Sergio Pininfarina’, will showcase a selection of iconic supercars resulting from his collaboration with Maranello, including models such as the Ferrari 250 GT, Dino 246 GT, 365 GTB/4 Daytona, Testarossa, Enzo, and 458. The second, a photographic exhibition titled ‘Oltre il Tempo’, will be held at the porticos of Palazzo Reale, offering a visual history of his life and career.

Sergio Pininfarina, who took leadership of the family business in 1960, is credited with transforming the firm from a craft workshop into a global industrial leader. His design legacy includes work for brands such as Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, and Peugeot. Beyond automotive design, he held significant institutional roles, including President of the Industrial Union of Turin and Confindustria, and was appointed a Senator for Life.
