Sergio Scariolo joins Luka Doncic’s Roma SPQR as strategic advisor

Sergio Scariolo has accepted a new role as a Special Advisor for Basketball Strategy at Roma SPQR, the basketball club owned by Luka Doncic and Dony Nelson.

Scariolo, the experienced Italian coach, stated that his contribution will be exclusively advisory. He aims to provide expertise regarding the technical and athletic development of the organization, focusing on coaching strategies, academy growth, and creating a sustainable long-term model.

While taking on this strategic role, Scariolo emphasized that he is not retiring from coaching and remains an active professional in the field. He clarified that Alessandro Magro and his staff will retain full responsibility for the team's competitive operations.
