Brazil implements digital service updates and professional training programs
Various administrative and educational updates are occurring across Brazil. In São Paulo, drivers can now use digital systems via Poupatempo or Detran-SP to renew their driver's licenses (CNH). Certain drivers aged 50 to 69 may qualify for automatic and free digital renewal if they have a clean driving record and are registered in the National Positive Driver Registry (RNPC). However, drivers must ensure their CPF data is consistent with federal records to avoid administrative delays.
In Rio de Janeiro, Detran RJ is migrating the scheduling of National Civil Identity (CIN) services to the Gov.br platform starting October 26 to enhance security and prevent fraud. This move includes a randomized slot distribution system to combat automated bots and illegal appointment sales.
Educational and professional opportunities are also expanding. The Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE) has opened applications for 4,585 technical and undergraduate vacancies for 2027. In Sergipe, the CNH Social program is offering 1,200 free licenses for low-income residents. Additionally, Petrobras has launched the Autonomia e Renda program, providing 1,120 free professional qualification spots in the oil and gas sector across several states. In the public sector, the Distrito Federal Health Secretariat (SES DF) has contracted Cebraspe to organize a selection process for 2,379 health specialist positions.
