Serial killer Albino dos Santos gives first interview

Albino dos Santos de Lima, a serial killer from Alagoas, Brazil, has given his first interview to the program ‘Doc Investigação’ on Rede Record. Convicted for 18 murders committed between 2019 and 2020, he has already received sentences totaling over 200 years in prison.

During the interview, Santos described his crimes as a “hobby” and revealed that he kept a calendar where he marked the dates of his victims' deaths in red, calling them “trophies” or “medals” to mark the end of a pursuit. He admitted that he would have continued killing if he had not been incarcerated. Investigations show he often used social media to monitor the routines and locations of his targets, many of whom were young women.

Santos is scheduled to face three new trials in November regarding additional homicides. These include the shooting of José Cícero Bernardo da Silva in December 2019, the deaths of Antônio de Oliveira Melo Neto and Maria Claudiana da Silva in February 2020, and the murder of Marcelo Lopes dos Santos in November 2019.
