Serie A 2026/27 TV schedule faces fragmentation in Italy

Italian clubs will play a series of summer friendlies in August 2026 ahead of the 2026/27 Serie A season, with matches such as Milan‑Inter in Perth, Chelsea‑Juventus in Hong Kong and Juventus‑Inter in Perth being shown on Sky Sport, NOW and other platforms. The schedule also includes fixtures like Juventus‑Juventus Next Gen, Napoli‑Osasuna and Udinese’s Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup, many of which will be available on pay‑TV, streaming services and some free‑to‑air channels.

The new season’s broadcast landscape is increasingly fragmented. DAZN retains exclusive rights to Serie A live coverage, while Sky Sport and NOW can only show a fraction of matches each round. Mediaset will broadcast the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa on free channels (Canale 5/Italia 1) and via its Infinity app. Lower‑division leagues will be split among Sky, NOW, RaiSport and other services. Experts warn that the need for multiple subscriptions could strain fans’ budgets, raising concerns about the sustainability of paying thousands of euros annually to follow Italian football.
