Venezia close in on Nigeria striker Akor Adams as Serie A transfer nears completion

Nigerian forward Akor Adams is on the brink of moving from Sevilla to Serie A newcomers Venezia. After Sevilla accepted an improved €16 million offer, the clubs are finalising paperwork, with bonus clauses that could add €6 million. Venezia’s sporting director Filippo Antonelli confirmed negotiations are “very advanced” and expect the striker to feature in the team’s opening match against Lecce.

The deal is seen as a key signing for Venezia, who aim to strengthen their attack alongside other summer acquisitions such as Albion Rrahmani. Adams, who scored 10 league goals for Sevilla last season and debuted for the Super Eagles with a goal against Lesotho, is projected to become a focal point of Venezia’s Serie A campaign.
