Serie A clubs Lazio and Lecce secure defensive reinforcements

Lazio is finalizing the signing of Portuguese central defender Diogo Leite. The free agent is scheduled to undergo medical examinations before signing a contract that runs until 2029. The deal includes an annual salary of approximately 1.8 million euros, representing a strategic move by the club to strengthen its defense for the upcoming Serie A season.

In separate news, Lecce is working to renew the contract of defender Tiago Gabriel to better align his wages with his recent performance growth. The proposed renewal would extend his stay until at least 2029, increasing his gross annual salary from approximately 410,000 euros (including bonuses) to 500,000 euros. The move is intended to ensure the player's stability as the club pursues its goal of avoiding relegation.
