Serie A clubs utilize conditional loan deals for major transfers

Italian Serie A clubs are increasingly utilizing loan deals with conditional obligations to buy as a strategic transfer market tool. Fiorentina has emerged as a prominent user of this formula, managing several high-value transactions.

Key Fiorentina movements include the transfer of Moise Kean to Como for a total of 40 million euros, structured as a 5 million euro loan with a 35 million euro future purchase obligation. Inbound deals for Fiorentina include Pedro Goncalves from Sporting CP for 25 million euros and Alieu Njie from Torino for 20 million euros. Outbound transfers include Radu Dragusin from Tottenham for 19 million euros and Roberto Piccoli to Bologna for 20 million euros.

Parma has also been active in the market using loan structures. Their notable arrivals include El Bilal Touré from Atalanta for a 1.5 million euro loan with a 10 million euro conditional obligation to buy, and Giovanni Fabbian from Fiorentina for 1 million euros with an option to buy for 14 million euros. Parma has also facilitated numerous outbound loans to various clubs including Celtic, Groningen, and Spezia.
