Serie A players feature in international football fixtures

Several Italian league players have been active in recent international fixtures. In the UEFA Nations League, Switzerland defeated Slovenia 2-1. Joël Monteiro of Lecce remained on the bench for the Swiss squad and did not see playing time. Meanwhile, the scheduled friendly between Tunisia and Mali, which was to involve Lassana Coulibaly, was cancelled.

Other Lecce players scheduled for action include Hjalte Laerke with the Denmark Under 20 side against the United States, and Omri Gandelman with Israel against the Republic of Ireland.

In other international matches, Edon Zhegrova delivered a strong performance for Kosovo in their 1-1 draw against Austria, earning high marks for his offensive contributions and an assist. Additionally, Pape Sarr played the full 90 minutes as an attacking midfielder for Senegal.
