Serie A sees four managerial sackings in first six matches

Serie A is experiencing a high frequency of managerial changes early in the 2026/27 season. Within the first six matchdays, four clubs have already dismissed their head coaches: Venezia, Fiorentina, Bologna, and Parma.

Notably, all four clubs involved in these recent sackings are under foreign ownership, including three American-owned teams (Parma, Fiorentina, and Venezia) and one Italian-Canadian-owned club (Bologna).

Following the dismissals of Giovanni Stroppa (Venezia), Fabio Grosso (Fiorentina), Domenico Tedesco (Bologna), and Carlos Cuesta (Parma), the clubs have appointed Paolo Vanoli, Raffaele Palladino, and Alberto Gilardino respectively. This trend of frequent coaching turnover reflects a growing impatience among club leadership regarding immediate results.
