Serie A to implement HDR and AI-powered replay technology

The Lega Calcio Serie A is introducing significant technological upgrades for the 2026/2027 season to enhance the audiovisual production of Serie A Enilive and Coppa Italia Frecciarossa. The league's Media, Broadcast & Digital Operations division will implement High Dynamic Range (HDR) production and the EVS XtraMotion 3.0 system.

The adoption of HDR aims to improve color fidelity and visual contrast, allowing for greater detail in shots and a more immersive viewing experience. Complementing this, the EVS XtraMotion 3.0 system utilizes artificial intelligence to transform traditional camera signals into advanced replays. This technology enables the generation of Super Slow Motion sequences, cinematic effects, and advanced motion blur reduction in real time, providing smoother and more defined imagery of key match actions.
