Sorrento Calcio president targets category retention

Sorrento Calcio president Giuseppe Cappiello has expressed his determination to maintain the club’s current category as the new season begins. He emphasized that the desire to remain at the club’s rightful level should serve as the primary motivation for the team.

Ongoing renovations at Stadio Italia are expected to be completed by early 2027. Regarding the technical staff, Cappiello voiced deep respect for coach Vincenzo Maiuri and noted that sporting director Cacace is building a squad capable of meeting the expectations of the supporters.

The club faces a challenging start in the Coppa Italia, as they will be missing five players due to disqualifications: Fusco, Cuccurullo, Paglino, Potenza, and Crecco, alongside other absences.
