Serie C clubs Foggia and Perugia face critical season tests

Italian Serie C clubs Foggia and Perugia are facing critical periods in their respective seasons.

Foggia, led by coach Gaetano Auteri, enters a decisive three-match stretch following a difficult start. With five points from six matches, the team has struggled with consistency and injuries. Upcoming fixtures against Sorrento, Cosenza, and Potenza are viewed as essential tests to determine the squad's true value and ability to respond to recent disappointing results.

Perugia is also struggling, having conceded eight goals without scoring in their last three matches against Ravenna, Spezia, and Grosseto. To address defensive vulnerabilities following the departure of Megelaitis, the club is evaluating Dutch defender Amoah Foah-Sam as a potential free agent signing. Additionally, the club is considering reopening the East Stand at the Gradinata to increase fan attendance for the upcoming match against Reggiana.
