Serie C: Ravenna suffers first defeat amid management changes

In Serie C action, Ravenna FC suffered its first defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to Pianese. Despite the loss, Ravenna remains in second place due to losses by Grosseto, Reggiana, and Livorno. Meanwhile, league leaders Spezia extended their advantage to five points over Ravenna following a victory against Reggiana.

The defeat for Ravenna coincides with a leadership transition at the club. Mattia Baldassarre has resigned as CEO, a move described as part of a long-term agreement with ownership. Lee Greening, a former financial director at Black Duck, has been appointed as the new CEO.

Elsewhere, newly promoted Grosseto recorded its first loss of the season in a home match against Sambenedettese. Grosseto's General Manager, Filippo Vetrini, attributed the defeat to specific match incidents and a missed penalty, noting that the team had shown positive signs despite the 3-0 deficit in the second half.
