Serious motorcycle crash closes Nanaimo River Road on Trans-Canada Highway

On August 4, 2026, a motorcyclist traveling south on the Trans-Canada Highway near Nanaimo River Road in British Columbia collided with a sport‑utility vehicle. The rider suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital, while the SUV driver was unharmed.
