Serious road collisions reported in Italy's Campania region

A violent crash in Capaccio Paestum, province of Salerno, involved a Fiat Panda and a Ford Focus, sending the Panda into a canal. Two young men from Torre Annunziata were rushed to Battipaglia Hospital in critical condition.

Later that day, a chain‑reaction pile‑up on the Asse Mediano near the Aversa‑Melito exit involved a Jeep, a Ford Kuga and a Fiat 600. No injuries were reported, but the blockage caused significant traffic delays while police investigated the cause.
