Bossa Games and Team17 announce physics-based builder What Goes Up

Bossa Games and publisher Team17 have announced ‘What Goes Up’, a cooperative physics-based building game scheduled for release in 2026. The title will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a planned launch on Xbox Game Pass.

In the game, players act as employees for the Galactic Refuse Co., tasked with collecting space debris on hazardous planets. The objective is to use found materials—such as solar panels, hot dog carts, and bathtubs—to construct towers, bridges, or other structures to reach a recovery ship. The gameplay emphasizes physics, requiring players to balance structures against environmental hazards like lava rivers, meteor showers, and electrical dangers.

Players can engage in solo play or cooperative multiplayer for up to four participants. Tools provided to assist in construction include gravity guns, hover packs, and bounce pads. The game also features character customization through collectible clothing found within the debris.
