Serious Sam: Shatterverse set for August 31 release on PC, PS5, Xbox
Behaviour Interactive announced that the new cooperative roguelite first‑person shooter Serious Sam: Shatterverse will launch on 31 August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. An open playtest is currently available on Steam.
The game expands the Serious Sam franchise with a multiverse storyline in which the villain Mental shatters barriers between dimensions, forcing multiple versions of Sam to work together. Players can team up in squads of up to five to battle through changing arenas, defeat five lieutenants serving Mental, and collect powerful modifiers and upgrades.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse combines the series’ classic over‑the‑top weaponry with new roguelite mechanics, offering procedurally varied runs and a large, noisy arsenal for cooperative combat.
