Serious traffic accidents in Spain injure multiple victims
In Santander, an 89‑year‑old woman was struck by a car while crossing a pedestrian crossing and was taken to Hospital de Valdecilla. A separate incident on the same weekend involved a 15‑year‑old cyclist who collided with a bus; he was also transported to Valdecilla for treatment.
In Ourense, a frontal collision between a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot Boxer ambulance on the N‑120 left both drivers seriously injured. The car driver was taken to Hospital de O Barco de Valdeorras, while the ambulance driver was air‑lifted to the University Hospital of Ourense. Both patients are currently reported as stable.
The accidents prompted police investigations and emergency response teams, including local police, civil protection volunteers and medical services.
